Gaya, An incident similar to Kolkata has happened in Gaya, Bihar. Where two youths of the village did dirty work with a minor girl. When the family members caught the rapists and handed them over to the police, the police released both of them with respect. Neither did they get a medical checkup done nor did they record their statement. What is the intention of the police behind doing this? The victim, who was annoyed with the attitude of the police station in-charge, reached the SSP office to plead for justice. After which he directed the Gurpa police station in-charge to take the statement of the victim and take appropriate action.

After the Kolkata incident, another case of rape of a minor Nirbhaya has come to light in Gaya district of Bihar. This shameful incident is from Tengni village of Gurupa police station area. Where this incident happened on the day of Janmashtami. When a minor girl from Ghatwar community of Mahadalit family was sleeping inside her house, suddenly two youths of the village entered the house seeing her alone and raped her one by one. The victim told that Ranjit Kumar and Sachin Kumar of the same village raped her. After she screamed, her mother and aunt sleeping on the other side of the house caught Ranjit but Sachin managed to escape but the matter did not stop there. In this case, the insensitivity of Gurpa police also came to the fore. The family handed over the caught Ranjit Kumar to the police but when the victim was going to the police station with the police, the police scared the victim and her family by saying that if you register a case of rape in the police station, it will come in the newspaper and on mobile.
After which a thorough investigation will be done. During this, you will get into a lot of trouble. The police took her to the police station and made up a different story and made her write an application and both the accused were released. While the victim was screaming and telling that she has been raped and I want justice. Gurpa police neither recorded the victim's statement under section 164 nor conducted a medical examination. If medical examination was conducted, the victim's allegations would have been confirmed. But the police did not do so. The victim comes from a poor family and lives in a forest area. In high profile cases, the victim gets justice sooner or later, but it is difficult to say whether this Mahadalit minor Nirbhaya will get justice or her screams will be lost in the forests.
However, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said after the Kolkata rape case that crimes against women cannot be forgiven. There should be no place for such crimes and criminals. The victim is in a state of shock due to this incident. Today she went to meet SSP Ashish Bharti where she pleaded for justice. SSP Ashish Bharti called Gurpa police station in-charge and directed him to take the victim's statement and take appropriate action. Now it remains to be seen whether the police station in-charge listens to the SSP or he hears it in one ear and lets it go out of the other ear.
