Deoband |Saharanpur: Two thieves riding a bike stole Rs 40,000 from a handloom shop on Railway Road in Deoband and escaped. It is being told that before this, thieves also tried to steal from a book seller in Khankah police post area. According to the information received, Sadiq, a resident of Mohalla Chhoti Khankah, runs a shop in the name of Sanjeeda Handloom on Railway Road. According to the complaint given to the police, two days ago he had gone to offer Namaz in the afternoon. Meanwhile, two thieves riding a bike reached the shop and broke the door and stole cash worth Rs 40,000 kept in it. On receiving the information, the police started investigation and after taking out the CCTV footage, it was found that the said thieves had earlier also attempted theft in the shop of book seller Jaheen Ahmed at Darul Uloom Waqf in Khankah police post area. This incident of thieves has been captured in CCTV camera. The police is investigating the case.
