Anuppur, in Jamudi village located 10 km away from Kotwali Anuppur, on Sunday morning, while taking out the pump from inside the well, two people drowned in the water inside the well, while one person came out in panic, on receiving the information of the incident, the Tehsildar and Kotwali police reached the spot. Doubts are being expressed on the incident that both died due to poisonous gas inside the well, while one farmer came back out after going half way in the well due to panic. To take out the bodies of both the deceased, the rescue team of NDFRF Anuppur reached the spot and took out the bodies of both the deceased safely.
According to the information received in this regard, some villagers have been farming on the farm of Samsad Ahmad, son of Ahmad Ali, in the middle of Didwapani road, ward number 9 of Gram Panchayat Jamudi, under Kotwali police station Anuppur, for years. Meanwhile, on Sunday morning of 25th August, 50-year-old Madan Singh, son of Ram Singh, went down the well to take out the footballs of two pumps which were stuck together, installed inside the well in the field. During this, he suddenly fell into the water inside the well from the middle of the well and drowned. During this time, 45-year-old Devlal, son of Lalla alias Teju Singh also went down the well and suddenly drowned in the water. When both of them did not come out, 45-year-old Bodhan Singh, son of Ram Singh, who went down the well with the help of a rope and a ladder, but after going some distance, feeling nervous and uneasy, he quickly came up and created a ruckus, due to which the women who were planting saplings nearby threw a rope and Bodhan came out of the well and was saved by falling on the rope. On getting information about the incident, Kotwali Anuppur Inspector Arvind Jain Anupam Pandey, Tehsildar Anuppur, reached the spot along with the police team and after seeing the situation, the team of NDFRF Anuppur was informed about the incident and upon calling, the rescue team under the leadership of R.N. Bhavedi reached the spot and with the help of an iron fork and rope, they were successful in taking out the bodies of both safely from inside the well. After preparing the Panchnama of both the bodies, they were sent to the district hospital for PM.
