Deoband | Saharanpur, some boys of one community were abusing while playing cricket near the premises of Shri Balaji Dham temple located at Shri Ramleela Ground in Deoband. When the boys of the other community stopped them, they started abusing them and got into a fight.

After which some more people came to the spot and pelted stones. In which two temple sevadars were injured. As soon as the information was received, Bajrang Dal workers reached the spot and created a ruckus demanding action against the accused. The police calmed the matter by assuring action. According to the information received, some boys of one community were playing cricket and abusing outside the premises of Shri Balaji Dham temple located at Shri Ramleela Ground in Deoband late on Saturday evening. The temple sevadars forbade them from doing so. On this, the boys playing cricket started abusing and beating them. This led to tension at the spot. After this, some more people from the cricket playing side reached the spot and started pelting stones. In which temple sevadars Vijay Prajapati and Ansh Sharma got injured. After getting the information of the incident, Bajrang Dal workers who reached the spot created a ruckus and protested in the temple premises. Former state convenor of Bajrang Dal Vikas Tyagi reached the spot and demanded strict action from the police administration. Police has registered a case on behalf of the temple committee. Hindu organizations demanded strict action against the accused from the police administration and said that the Paith Bazaar held every Wednesday at Ramlila Ground, Sri Balaji Dham should be stopped because there is a Hindu majority population around here and there is also a temple here, so this market should not be held here. The protest of Hindu organizations continued till late night. Many police and administration officials reached the spot and handled the situation. During this, Devband Municipal Chairman Vipin Garg, BJP City President Arun Gupta, Bajrang Dal's former State Convenor Vikas Tyagi, RSS leader Ashutosh Gupta, Temple Committee Chairman Rajkishore Gupta, Abhishek Tyagi expressed their displeasure over the incident. SP Rural Sagar Jain, SDM Devband Yuvraj Singh, CO Devband Ravikant Parashar reached the spot. They pacified the protesters by assuring them of action. On the complaint of Temple Committee Chairman Rajkishore Gupta, the police have registered a case against unknown people. The police have started investigating the matter.
