Saharanpur | Deoband, two brothers died of electrocution in Mohalla Badjiaulhaq of Deoband city. It is being told that both the brothers had gone to catch pigeons in the basement under construction. According to the information received, today afternoon, Naushad Qureshi's son Huzaif (15) resident of Mohalla Badjiaulhaq had gone to catch pigeons in a basement under construction in the locality with his younger brother Sufiyan (12). It is said that due to rain water being filled in the basement, electric current was flowing due to the electric wire touching the bars erected for the pillars. As soon as they got into the water, both the children got badly burnt due to electrocution. According to the police, today afternoon, 12-year-old Sufiyan had gone down to the ground floor i.e. basement of a semi-constructed house in his locality, which was filled with two-three feet of water and there was electric current in the water. As soon as Sufiyan went down to the basement, he started fluttering due to electric shock. Then his elder brother Huzaif who had followed him came down to help his younger brother, but his condition also became like that of his younger brother. The family members reached the basement searching for both the children and somehow both the children were taken out in a critical condition and they were taken to the hospital. Where the doctors declared both of them dead. Puran Singh Ranghad, who was present in the hospital, told that the body, hands and legs of both the children were stiff and there was no movement of any kind in them. The hospital informed the police about the incident and the Panchnama of the bodies of both the children was filled. The uncle of the deceased children told that the father of both the children, Naushad Qureshi is very poor and works as a scrap dealer by roaming around in villages etc. Let us tell you that for many years this basement and the building being constructed there is lying in such a half-finished condition which is a big negligence. The bodies of both the children are kept in the government hospital of Deoband. A huge crowd has gathered there and is demanding action. Till the time of writing the news, there was talk of sending the bodies of the dead children for post-mortem.
