Saharanpur, International Yoga Day became a boon for about thirteen and a half hundred prisoners imprisoned in Saharanpur jail, where they got a chance to learn yoga from the trainers of Mokshayatan under the direct guidance of International Yoga Guru Padmashree Swami Bharat Bhushan for two days. The overwhelmed prisoners said that they have got the path of life, some said that they had committed crimes knowingly or unknowingly but now they will do yoga with the same intensity. Here when the yoga guru spread his bag and asked alms of five resolutions from 1331 prisoners, it became a very emotional scene and they accepted the alms of the resolution of waking up before sunrise, paying obeisance to parents and guru, daily yoga practice, satvik food, self-study and reading something every day from Guru ji. The emotional prisoners resolved to turn away from criminal life and said that today they have found the path of life. Yoga Guru Padmashree Swami Bharat Bhushan, who has created history by experimenting on yoga and health every day, carrying the message of Bharatyoga in the International Yoga Day program series, reached the district jail today and awakened such a spirit that the prisoners resolved to make every day a Yoga Day instead of just celebrating 21 June as Yoga Day. Swami Bharat Bhushan said that through yoga, a man finds a way to reach God, but before that he will have to fight the battle of becoming a human being from a man himself. He said that there is nothing like health, wealth, fame and beautiful life that cannot be obtained through yoga. The yoga guru also gave unique tips to commit big thefts instead of petty thefts and said that instead of being a thief, become a heart-thief like Krishna and get everything with the power of devotion and meditation, that too forever.
He appealed to see it as an opportunity to join the bandagi and become a man instead of drowning in the shame of prison life. The yoga guru said that Kansa's prison in Mathura, Yerawada prison, Cellular prison in Robben Island in Africa and Kalapani prison in Andaman have given yogis and patriots like Yogeshwar Krishna, Gandhi, Savarkar and Mandela. Swami Bharat Bhushan called yoga the biggest medium to live spiritually and bring the whole world closer and said that this medium of Bharatyoga has the power to give such a new perspective of life that gives solution to every problem. The specialty of this program was that apart from NK Sharma, Yash Rana and Keshav Verma of the training team of Bharat Yoga of the institute, women teachers Bharat Yogi Seema Gupta and Bharat Yogi Aastha Verma conducted separate yoga sessions for women prisoners in the jail and suggested them the way to live in the light of yoga. Jail Superintendent Amita Dubey called it an effective experiment to bring change in the thinking of prisoners.
