Damoh, A parade was organized today at Police Lines Damoh in memory of the police personnel who were martyred at the altar of duty. Superintendent of Police Sunil Tiwari took the salute of the parade and the Roll of Honor (booklet) of the martyred Paramilitary Force soldiers during the year was read out. Thereafter, floral tributes were offered to the martyrs in the parade. On this occasion, the families of the martyred soldiers of the district were honored with shawls and quinces.
On this occasion, Collector Mayank Aggarwal, Superintendent of Police Sunil Tiwari, Divisional Forest Officer MS Uike, Additional SP Sandeep Mishra, CSP Abhishek Tiwari, RI Hemant Baraiya, DSP Ajax SP Shukla, SDOP Patharia Raghu Srivastava, Police Station Incharge Damoh Vijay Singh Rajput, Police Station Incharge Damoh Dehat Anand Singh, Home Guard District Commandant Harsh Kumar Jain, Subedar Abhanav Sahu, police officers, soldiers, dignitaries and media persons paid homage.
Superintendent of Police Sunil Tiwari said that Martyr's Day is celebrated across the country on 21st October. Martyr's Day has also been celebrated in Damoh today. On this day, the names of all the police personnel and officers of paramilitary forces who are martyred in different states and throughout the year are read out. He said that today the names of the martyrs have been read out and tributes have been paid. Everyone paid homage. At the end of the program, a salute was given by the police force in an armed parade.
