During this time, four wheels of 2 coaches derailed near bridge number 136 near Sudhani railway gate. According to the local people, the sound of the accident was so loud that they reached the spot after hearing the sound. Currently, trains are being operated on the up line on this route. There have been no casualties in this incident and no damage has been reported.

Some trains were diverted via Sanauli Salmari route

At the same time, some trains running at night were diverted via Sanauli Salmari route by the railway administration. DRM Katihar has given instructions to investigate this incident. Additional Divisional Railway Manager of Katihar Railway Division Manoj Kumar Singh said that the operation on the down line of Katihar Newsalpaiguri railway section has now become normal. The railway track was cleared within two to three hours of the derailment. A team will be formed to investigate the reason behind the accident.
