A train engine derailed in the railway yard of Gaya Junction station on Saturday. Officials gave this information. They said that during 'shunting' (moving from one track to another), one of the front wheels of the engine got derailed. At that time the engine did not have coaches attached. According to officials, there were no casualties in this incident.

Chief Public Relations Officer in East Central Railway, Saraswati Chandra said, "On Saturday morning, the engine derailed without any coach in the Gaya Junction railway station yard. Since the derailment incident happened in the yard, the movement of other trains was not affected. Mechanical and other technical staff immediately brought the engine back to its place after the derailment."

Meanwhile, Chandra said that on Friday, the 'coupling' (connecting link) of a goods train broke near Paharpur railway station in Gaya division of Bihar. The goods train was coming from Koderma to Gaya. The official said no one was injured in the incident which took place at around 10.08 pm on Friday.

"The repair work, including the coupling of the goods train, was completed and the train left the spot at 10.48 pm," he said.

He said the movement of other trains was not affected due to the incident.
