A deeply tragic and shocking incident has been reported from Hyderabad, the capital of Telangana. A 37-year-old woman jumped from the sixth floor of an apartment complex while holding her six-month-old daughter. The woman died on the spot, while the infant miraculously survived.

According to the police, the incident occurred on Friday evening. The deceased has been identified as Isha Sahu, a native of Madhya Pradesh who worked in the software sector.

Infant Saved After Falling onto Solar Fence Wires

Preliminary investigations reveal that the woman jumped from the upper floor of the apartment with her six-month-old daughter. During the fall, the infant got entangled in the wires of the solar fence installed on the apartment's boundary wall, which saved her life. Meanwhile, the woman fell directly to the ground, sustaining fatal injuries and dying on the spot.

Rescued After Crying Sounds Were Heard

Following the incident, a watchman from a nearby apartment heard the baby crying. Upon reaching the source of the sound, he found the infant trapped in the wires and immediately rescued her. The baby was then taken to the hospital, where doctors have stated that she is out of danger.

Step Taken After Husband Left the House

Police investigations revealed that prior to the incident, the woman had sent her husband out for some work. After he left the house, she took her daughter to the apartment's terrace and jumped. By the time the husband returned, the tragedy had already occurred.

A police officer stated that the primary reason for the infant's survival was that she got caught in the wires instead of hitting the ground directly, which cushioned the impact.

Couple Were Software Professionals

According to the police, both Isha Sahu and her husband worked in the software sector. The couple had been married for approximately 13 years and had two daughters. The family had been living in Hyderabad for a long time.

The woman was struggling with postpartum depression.

Preliminary investigations revealed that the woman had been grappling with mental stress and depression since the birth of her second daughter six months ago. The police are including this aspect in their investigation.

A case has been registered, and a detailed investigation into all aspects of the incident is underway. The police are questioning family members and close associates to clearly ascertain the reasons behind the incident.

This incident once again highlights the need for awareness and timely support regarding serious issues such as postpartum mental health (postpartum depression).
