Patna, Due to the increase in monsoon activity in the state including Patna, the capital, the effect of rain is there in all the districts.

According to the Meteorological Center Patna, there is a deep pressure around Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining Bangladesh. It is likely to increase around Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh during the next 24 hours.

Due to this, due to increase in the speed of clouds in the southern parts, heavy rain has been expected in Rohtas, Kaimur, Jehanabad, Nalanda, Munger and Bhagalpur including Patna, while an orange alert has been issued for very heavy ra in with thunder and lightning in Jamui, Nawada, Gaya, Aurangabad, Arwal and Banka.

In view of the change in weather, people have been advised to be cautious and take care of animals. There is a possibility of a drop of two to three degrees in temperature during two days. The effect of rain will remain in the state for two days.

On Saturday, the weather remained normal due to sporadic rainfall in Patna and surrounding areas since morning and rain with strong winds in Begusarai, Madhubani, Nalanda, Munger, Jamui and Samastipur and other parts. During the last 24 hours, rainfall was recorded in different parts of the state.

The highest rainfall of 91.4 mm was recorded in Beldaur of Khagaria. According to the Meteorological Department, the state has still recorded 28 percent less rainfall than normal. Due to the change in weather, the temperature of many districts including Patna dropped.

On Saturday, the maximum temperature of Patna was recorded at 29.5 degrees Celsius with a drop of 3.3 degrees. Whereas, the highest temperature was recorded in Jiradei of Siwan with 35.0 degrees Celsius. 4.1 mm rainfall was recorded in the capital, 33.0 mm in Bhagalpur, 44.2 mm in Darbhanga, 53.5 mm in Nawada on Saturday.
