The state government is also calculating the amount received in the 15th Finance Commission. Under this, how much amount did the state receive in the fourth year and how much amount is due or is likely to be received. The Planning and Development Department has started brainstorming on this. On this basis, the state government will also make a separate action plan for the fifth year. Recently, a high-level meeting has been held at the Chief Secretary level regarding the amount received from the Central Government, the implementation of central schemes and the amount received and outstanding under it.

After this, the state government will request the Center to pay its outstanding amount. In this sequence, the government is looking at what is the updated status of the 15th Finance Commission? Actually, the Center's share has decreased by 8 percent in the last 8 years. Not only this, the amount given to Bihar by the Central Finance Commission is continuously decreasing. Bihar has received 21 thousand crore rupees less in the first three years of the 15th Finance Commission. Bihar was to get 2.67 lakh crores in the next three years from 2020-21, but it received only 2.46 crores.
The trend increased from the 13th Finance Commission. Actually, Bihar never got the full amount as per the amount recommended by the Finance Commission. But, the trend of reduction in the amount of Bihar has been increasing since the 13th Finance Commission. During this commission, Bihar received 9.66 percent less amount which increased to 10.61 percent in the 14th and 15th Finance Commission.
According to the Planning and Development Department, due to this reduction, Bihar has suffered a loss of about 61195 crores in the last eight years.
