The reason for the Maha Kumbh incident was more than mismanagement, the devotees going to Sangam Nose and waiting for hours for the morning of Mauni, stopping to see the Akharas, sitting there wrapped in blankets and sleeping.
The crowd rejected the announcement of the administration, in which the fair officer was saying that the bath of Mauni Amavasya has started from 7.40 pm. You should bathe soon and leave. The public's response to this was zero.
Then the traffic police closed all the pontoon bridges so that more crowds do not come. This also angered the public and videos of the scuffle with the police came on social media. A large number of people who have come for tourism are getting angry at any inconvenience, the stubbornness to visit the Akharas is an example of this. It broke due to the crowd standing on the barrack and people climbing on it. At the same time, the same public started running on the path of the people coming from the opposite direction, which increased the intensity of the stampede.
The administration handled it with great speed. Around 70 ambulances were rushed and all the injured were shifted to the fair hospital and some medical colleges. A green corridor was made for the ambulances, that too in a few minutes. The coordination between the administration and the hospital was amazing, due to which the accident was handled and other devotees were motivated to return after taking a bath. Despite all this, 70% of the public was not ready to return and move after taking a bath. They were now more relaxed because the entire area was sealed. They all wanted to see the bath of the Akharas, Acharyas and Nagababa's Akharas.
After giving up, the Akharas were told that they are postponing their bath. After 3-4 hours of this announcement, the entire Sangam Nose became normal and the Pipa bridge and other roads were reopened. Now the situation is completely under control. Thanks to Maa Ganga, the evil spirits waiting for a big accident have been disappointed. Looking at the current situation, it is hoped that the bathing of 10 crore devotees will be successful.
The public has to understand that today's festival is not an ordinary Magh day and they should bathe at whichever ghat they are near and earn merit. Only 1 to 5% people will be able to reach Sangam Nose and take a dip. There are 44 ghats on the banks of Sangam, bathing at any of them will give the same merit as bathing at Sangam.
Now the situation is normal and people are returning from Sangam after bathing. Seeing this, it was announced that all the Akharas will take a royal bath as before.
All friends are requested not to trust the people who comment while sitting on their beds, reporting and rumors of horrific situations being spread on social media. Finally, it is requested to follow the suggestions and orders of the administration and cooperate in keeping the fair area well organized.
