Sasaram, Hindustani Awam Morcha patron and Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi has once again raised his old demand. Manjhi, who reached Sasaram in Rohtas, said that the poor are being harassed in Bihar in the name of liquor ban. Liquor ban is a good thing but there is a need to improve its provisions. He has demanded from Chief Minister Nitish Kumar that he should once again review the liquor ban.
In fact, Jitan Ram Manjhi, who reached Sasaram, has once again raised questions on liquor ban and said that the poor are being harassed in the name of liquor ban. Due to liquor ban, poisonous liquor is being produced more. When the government reviewed the liquor ban for the third time, it was decided that if someone is carrying liquor for the purpose of drinking, he will not be arrested, but still arrests are being made.
While talking to journalists in Sasaram, he said that the law has been made, but the law is not being implemented properly. He had come to Sasaram on 31 August last month to meet the family members of Lok Janshakti Party Ramvilas worker Saroj Paswan after his murder. Later, while talking to journalists, he said that liquor ban is a good thing, one should not drink liquor.
Manjhi said that it is necessary to remove the distortions in the liquor ban law. Because there is a process of making liquor, which takes weeks, but the businessmen are making liquor in just one hour. In such a situation, that liquor is more harmful. Which is ruining the lives of the poor especially. He has demanded the government to review the liquor ban law again.
