Shivhar, Shivhar: The patients have to face problems due to the lift installed for the convenience of the patients in Saroja Sitaram Government Sadar Hospital being closed. On this issue, a complaint has been filed by Shivhar's RTI activist Mukund Prakash Mishra under Bihar Public Grievance Redressal Rights Act 2015 regarding starting the lift installed in Saroja Sitaram Sadar Hospital, Shivhar.

In light of the above, notice was issued to the Civil Surgeon, Shivhar by letter no.- 40311-19539 dated- 24.04.2024. The hearing of this complaint was done on 03.05.2024 and 16.05.2024.

The complainant was present on 03.05.2024.

Dr. Arun Kumar Sinha, representative of Civil Surgeon, Shivhar, present Civil Surgeon-cum- Chief Medical Officer, Shivhar, has reported by his letter no. 244 dated 03.05.2024 that in relation to the complaint, it is to be said that 01. The lift installed in Saroja Sitaram Sadar Hospital, Shivhar is operational and working.

02. For lever operation, the lever man was to be given to the concerned, which has not been provided till now. 03. A letter has been sent to the concerned agency to provide the lever man. The lever will start operating smoothly as soon as the lever man is available.

The said report was observed. The report of the public authority is not clear. According to the report of the public authority, the lift is in working condition. For the convenience of the public, alternative arrangement of lift operator should have been made, which has not been done. Also, the lift man has not been arranged by the concerned company, what action has been taken by you in this regard, which is not clear in the report. The public authority was directed to ensure its presence on the next date with a clear report. The next hearing of the case was scheduled on 16.05.2024 at 11.00 a.m. Today, at the time of hearing, the complainant was absent; the representative of Civil Surgeon cum Chief Medical Officer, Shivhar, Dr. Suresh Ram, Non-Communicable Disease Officer, Shivhar, present Civil Surgeon cum Chief Medical Officer, Shivhar, has reported by his letter no. 271 dated 15.05.2024 that Deputy Superintendent, Saroja Sitaram Sadar Hospital, Shivhar has given a report by his letter no. 256 dated 15.05.2024, in which it has been told that a letter was sent to the lift operating company FRAXIKSON ELFVATOR & ESCALATOR INDUSTRIES KOLKATA BRANCH, in compliance with which the representative of the company came to the hospital on 10.05.2024 and inspected the lift and he has asked for fifteen days to complete the entire process. In this regard, the company is being contacted continuously, the lift man will be made available by the company soon. After that the lift will start working fully. The lift which is there at present is running under alternative arrangement.

The said report was perused and the complainant was informed about the report through telephone. In the light of the report of the Civil Surgeon cum Chief Medical Officer, Shivhar, the suit has been accepted and executed.
