The crowd chased and beat them and freed two history sheeters.

The inspector was seriously injured in this incident. He was immediately admitted to Sahebganj CHC. He was treated in the government hospital. A large number of police force was called after the incident. The police arrested six youths after conducting a search operation. They are being questioned. Senior police officials have said that strict action will be taken against the accused of attacking the police.

It is said that inspector Puneet Kumar had arrived in plain clothes with his team to arrest the notorious criminals. The villagers surrounded the inspector shouting thief-thief. Meanwhile, the inspector also caught two history sheeters. The villagers freed them from the police. The inspector surrounded by the crowd was rescued by the son of the former chief.

After this, the inspector called the police station and called for additional force. When a large number of police personnel arrived, there was a clash with the people gathered on the road. Two police personnel have received minor injuries in this. The police chased away the miscreants. Villagers are also injured in the incident. Neeraj Kumar, Suraj Kumar, Sumant Kumar, Satish Kumar, Rampukar and Nandu Kumar of Navalpur village who were involved in the attack have been arrested. Meanwhile, City SP Awadhesh Dixit said that six youths have been arrested on charges of attacking the police. They are being questioned.
