Saharanpur, District Magistrate Manish Bansal gave information regarding organizing a district level innovation exhibition for innovators of the unorganized sector under innovation public awareness through the District Science Club. He said that the objective of the program organized by the District Science Club is to make the general public aware of innovation, so that more and more people can know the importance of innovation activities and the work related to the patents of the innovators of the unorganized sector can be done by the council. The targeted community is innovators of the unorganized sector such as farmers, mechanics, laborers, craftsmen etc. DM Manish Bansal said that a district level innovation exhibition will be organized for innovators of the unorganized sector under innovation public awareness through the District Science Club. In this regard, it is to be informed that the State Government has entrusted the Science and Technology Council of Uttar Pradesh with the responsibility of identifying and supporting grassroots level innovators. Mostly, innovators come from such classes whose educational level is not very good. Mostly, innovations give birth to some new invention to deal with scarcity and adverse circumstances or to do their work in a simple way, this is called exploration innovation. Most of the innovators are farmers, mechanics, laborers or craftsmen etc. Such innovators are provided guidance and technical assistance by the Council and efforts are also made to develop the models and prototypes of innovators from a commercial point of view. District Science Club, Saharanpur is organizing a district level innovation exhibition for identification, guidance and encouragement of innovators. 200 to 300 participants and beneficiaries are expected to participate in this exhibition. Outstanding innovators will be awarded with Rs. 8000 as first prize, Rs. 5000 as second prize, Rs. 3000 as third prize and Rs. 2000 as five consolation prizes and all participants will be awarded with certificates. The district level event will be held at Jayanarayan Khemka Munnalal Degree College on Monday, 11 November, 2024 from 11 am to 3 pm. District Magistrate Manish Bansal directed the District Panchayat Raj Officer, General Manager, District Industries Centre, District Agriculture Officer, District Horticulture Officer, District Village Industries Officer, District School Inspector, District Basic Education Officer, In-charge, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Saharanpur, Coordinator, Skill Development Mission and Nehru Yuva Kendra to identify innovators related to their department for the exhibition and make them participate in the programme and ensure that the list along with details of the innovators is made available to Mr. Ambish Kumar, District Coordinator, District Science Club as soon as possible.
