Incidents of motorcycle theft were being reported from various villages like Aura, Chhotki Narwara etc. under Shivhar, Tariyani police station for the last few days. In this sequence, an SIT was formed under the supervision of Sub-Divisional Police Officer Sushil Kumar and under the leadership of Police Zone Inspector Tariyani.

In this sequence, on 31 December 2024, 06 motorcycles damaged at different levels were recovered by the SIT. Again, on the basis of secret information, the SIT team raided the Chaur areas between Aura-Paharpur. In the raid, five (05) stolen motorcycles were recovered from different places such as Paharpur Aura Chaur etc. from Amit Kumar alias Dhruv Kumar son of Late Ramgyan Singh, resident of Chak Hussainpur, Police Station-Runni Saidpur, District-Sitamarhi, Karanesh Kumar, son of Ratnesh Rai, resident of Pahatpur, Police Station-Tariani, District-Shivhar, Arjun Kumar, son of Ramchandra Rai, resident of Turki Khararu, Police Station-Meenapur, District-Muzaffarpur, Sushindra Kumar, son of Shivbalak Rai, resident of Sonvarsa, Police Station-Tariani, District-Shivhar, Ram Uddeshya Kumar alias Chandan son of Shivratan Raut, resident of Chorit, Police Station-Chorit, District-Sitamarhi, while their accomplice Manibhushan Kumar alias Mani, son of Rajsh Rai, resident of Sonvarsa, Police Station-Tariani, District-Shivhar, managed to escape. Based on the information provided by the above detained persons, the SIT further recovered five (05) stolen motorcycles and one (01) motorcycle in a dismantled condition from different places such as Parshurampur, Police Station Parsauni, District Sitamarhi, Village Thana-Chorit, District Sitamarhi. Also, Sanjay Mandal son of Chandeshwar resident of Madhavapur Matihani, Police Station-Madhavapur, District-Madhubani was detained from Village Choraut, Police Station Choraut, District Sitamarhi. Whereas, Shatrudhan Shah son of Parshurampur, Police Station Parsauni, District-Sitamarhi (junk dealer/garage operator) managed to escape. In the same sequence, on the information given by the above-mentioned detained persons, SIT conducted a raid in Shankarpur Bindi under Piprahi police station where Vijay Rai, a person of criminal nature involved in various cases, P.K. Rai was arrested from whose possession a stolen motorcycle was recovered.

Thus, in the above-mentioned raids conducted by SIT, a total of seven (07) motorcycles and five (05) damaged motorcycles and a total of seven (07) persons were arrested and two (02) persons managed to escape. Raiding team- Anchal Inspector Tariyani Randhir Kumar Singh, Thanedaar Tariyani Vinay Prasad, Thanedaar Shyampur Bhatha Sunil Kumar, Thanedaar Tariyani Chapra Rohit Kumar, Thanedaar Hirmma, Subodh Kumar Mehta were included. In this regard, a case has been registered and further investigation is being done on technical evidence and other points.
