The city was filled with banners on the MP's birthday
People asked, "Is ostentation more important than problems?"
Alot, People in Alot, the city, and the region are worried about their daily problems. Farmers are grappling with agricultural issues, traders are facing various administrative problems, and ordinary people allege that their work is not being completed on time. People say that bureaucracy dominates many departments, while responsible officials appear silent instead of addressing problems.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday, to mark the regional MP's birthday, large banners and flexes were put up from Kargil Square to the main road. Local leaders displayed support for their leader by putting up posters with congratulatory messages at various locations. However, many citizens questioned why public representatives and local leaders are more focused on power displays and publicity than addressing the problems of the general public when the region's fundamental problems remain unresolved.
The fact that several flexes labeled themselves "MP Representative" also became a topic of discussion in the city. The MP himself had previously clarified in a letter that he had not officially appointed anyone as his MP representative. Consequently, the public's objection to the use of self-appointment as MP representative without authorization has raised questions.
In addition, a large number of banners and posters were displayed at public places, intersections, electric poles, and other locations throughout the city. Despite the existing ban on displaying banners in public places without permission, citizens are concerned about who will be held responsible if any accident occurs due to banners on electric poles. The silence of the relevant departments and responsible officials in this matter is also being questioned.
Some people also questioned the fact that the Prime Minister has repeatedly appealed to citizens to conserve fuel and avoid unnecessary private vehicle use. Despite this, there was widespread discussion about dozens of private vehicles arriving in Ujjain from Alot on the MP's birthday. People are asking, "If the message of saving fuel is for ordinary citizens, shouldn't public representatives and political workers also follow suit?"
This entire issue is currently a topic of discussion in the city. People say that public representatives and the administration should prioritize addressing the area's fundamental problems along with publicity.
