Patna, In Bihar, NDA on Monday alleged theft of items from the bungalow vacated recently by Tejashwi Yadav. This bungalow was allotted to Tejashwi when he was the deputy CM of the state. Now Tejashwi has vacated this bungalow and has shifted to another bungalow. But BJP people are saying that Tejashwi Yadav has taken all the items of the bungalow with him while vacating the bungalow. BJP leaders allege that not only the taps, but also wash basins, bath tubs, ROs, fridges, TVs, sofas, beds and even light switches are missing from the 5 Deshratna Marg bungalow in Patna. The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) countered the allegations and said that the NDA is expressing its frustration over Tejashwi Yadav and his father Lalu Prasad getting bail from a Delhi court in the land for job 'scam'.

Expensive mat of badminton court also missing
This huge bungalow, located right next to Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's official residence, has now been allotted to current Deputy Chief Minister and senior BJP leader Samrat Choudhary, who is likely to move into the bungalow in a few days. State BJP media in-charge Danish Iqbal told reporters, "We are inspecting 5, Desh Ratna Marg, so that necessary work can be done before our leader's arrival. We are surprised to see so many things missing. Apparently, the people who lived in this bungalow earlier took these items with them." Iqbal said that the missing items include "an expensive mat of the badminton court built in the residence, a sofa set, an air conditioner, a hydraulic bed, a wash basin and several water taps." He said that the details have been shared with the Building Construction Department, which is responsible for the maintenance of ministers' bungalows, for necessary action. Reacting to the allegation by ally BJP, JDU spokesperson Neeraj Kumar said, "It took so many months for Tejashwi Yadav to vacate the bungalow, which in itself is a matter of concern. But, if he has allowed his people to loot government property, it raises questions on his character. Hopefully the Deputy Chief Minister will take this matter seriously and take it to its logical conclusion."

'... then we will make the video public'

RJD spokesperson Shakti Yadav rejected the allegation and said that the NDA was expressing its frustration over Tejashwi Yadav and his father Lalu Prasad getting bail from a Delhi court in the land for job 'scam'. He alleged, "ED and CBI harassed our leaders a lot at the behest of the BJP ruling at the Center. Now, when the NDA is feeling ashamed of its misdeeds, its leaders are making baseless allegations." He challenged the Building Construction Department to produce a list of the items kept in the residence and claimed that "we had shot videos of the time when our leader (Tejashwi) was vacating the premises. If such acts do not stop, we will make the video public.''

Giriraj Singh demanded investigation

Amid allegations of missing items from the government bungalow, Union Minister Giriraj Singh on Monday demanded an investigation into the amount spent on the bungalow. Singh, who represents Bihar's Begusarai constituency, said, "Such cheapness is not appropriate for a person holding a political post. An inquiry committee should be formed to investigate the amount spent on Tejashwi Yadav's bungalow and a case should be registered." Giriraj's statement came after the NDA in Bihar on Monday alleged theft of items from the bungalow vacated recently by Tejashwi Yadav.
