Despite reaching New Delhi, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu did not attend the Niti Aayog meeting. After the decision of the Congress high command to oppose the Niti Aayog meeting, Chief Minister Sukhu also did not attend it.
CM Sukhu had left for New Delhi on Friday itself. Here, after receiving instructions from the party high command, the CM also decided not to attend the Niti Aayog meeting held on Saturday. Chief Minister Sukhu has already raised the issue of ignoring the interests of Himachal Pradesh in the Union Budget.
Meanwhile, the CM met Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi on Saturday and discussed various issues related to the state, activities of the government and the organization and a vacant ministerial post. The CM also met Congress National President Mallikarjun Kharge, party's organization general secretary KC Venugopal and party state in-charge Rajiv Shukla.
