Maspur, located under Orchha development block of Narayanpur district, is a remote and inaccessible area. To provide basic facilities to the villagers here, the district administration has marked gram panchayats under the guidance of Chief Minister Shri Vishnu Dev Sai and health services are being provided to the villagers in inaccessible areas of the district under the Niyyad Nellnar Yojana of the state government. In the same sequence of taking health services to remote areas, successful institutional delivery of Mrs. Juri Usendi was done at Ayushman Arogya Mandir in Maspur on 11 December.
Expansion of health services:- Mrs. Juri Usendi was being regularly tracked by the local ANM for the last nine months. During this period, she was given four ANC (antenatal care) checkups and was made aware by explaining the importance of institutional delivery. Juri's safe delivery was possible due to this effort of the health department. After the delivery, both Juri and her newborn are completely healthy. The newborn was given all the necessary vaccines like BCG, Hepatitis B and Polio 'O' dose.
Benefits of Janani Suraksha Yojana:- After the successful delivery, Juri Usendi was given an amount of Rs 1,400 under Janani Suraksha Yojana through DBT in her bank account. This scheme is operated to promote maternal and child health.
Presence of government in remote area:- Promotion of institutional delivery and accessibility of health services in remote areas like Maspur shows the presence and responsibility of the government and administration. The efforts of health workers and officials not only made Juri's delivery safe but also increased the trust in government schemes among the villagers.
