Saharanpur | Deoband, the holy festival of Sri Krishna Janmashtami was celebrated with great pomp and gaiety in all the temples and houses of Deoband city. Last night, on the occasion of Sri Krishna Janmotsav, all the temples of Deoband city were decorated in a grand and attractive manner. A huge crowd of devotees gathered in the temples till late night. The grand tableaux put up in the temples were the main center of attraction for all the devotees. Thakur ji was being swung in the temples by the devotees. The major temples of Deoband city are Shri Thakur Dwara Mandir Main Bazaar, Shri Radhaballabh Mandir Kayasthwada, Shri Radha Rukmini Mandir Shastri Chowk, Shri Khatu Shyam Mandir Bala Sundari Complex, Shri Radha Raman Mandir Pancho Pandav Chowk, Vaishno Devi Mandir Railway Station, Shri Balaji Dham Mandir etc. All the idols of all the Gods were decorated grandly and the temple was also decorated with flowers with great grandeur. Dahi Handi program was organized with great pomp at the main Shri Balaji Dham temple of Deoband city. On Janmashtami, devotees took darshan of the Pran Pratishtha idols of Thakurji Maharaja Dhiraj Lord Shri Krishna along with Shri Radha Rani ji in the oldest and historic Shri Thakur Dwara temple of Deoband. After the Sri Krishna Janmotsav after 12 o'clock in the night, the devotees broke their fast by performing Puja-Archana.
