Special Health Check-up and Counseling Clinics Organized in Damoh
433 Pregnant Women Undergo Health Screening Under PMSMA Campaign
Damoh. Under the expanded Pradhan Mantri Surakshit Matritva Abhiyan (PMSMA), special health check-up and counseling clinics were organized for pregnant women across the district. The Chief Medical and Health Officer stated that this campaign was conducted at all Community Health Centers, 'Ayushman Arogya Mandir' Primary Health Centers, and Sub-Health Centers—including the Civil Hospital in Hatta.
The objective of the campaign is to ensure safe motherhood by identifying potential risks during pregnancy in a timely manner. At these special clinics, 433 pregnant women—comprising both general and high-risk categories from across the district—underwent examinations in the presence of gynecologists and physicians trained at 'Skill Labs'.
During this initiative, pregnant women were provided with routine health check-ups, follow-up examinations, essential medical counseling, and risk-based treatment services.
The Health Department paid special attention to ensuring the comfort and convenience of the women visiting the clinics. To this end, arrangements were made for separate OPD counters, seating facilities, drinking water, and nutritious refreshments.
At the special clinic organized at the Civil Hospital in Hatta, Dr. Sangeeta Trivedi—a senior Gynecologist and Obstetrician—conducted sonography examinations, general health check-ups, and provided necessary counseling to 15 high-risk pregnant women.
