Anuppur, under the guidance and direction of senior officers and Sub-Divisional Officer (Police) Section Pushparajgarh and under the leadership of Sub Inspector Sanjay Khalkho, Station In-charge, Karanpathar Police Station, accompanying staff Sub Inspector Mangala Prasad Dubey, Prar. 256 Rajesh Paw, Prar. 79 Kamal Singh Masram Outpost Sarai and Prar. 41 Vijay Kumar Dwivedi, R. 287 Vinod Kumar, Karanpathar Police Station, on 20/10/2024, Police Station HCM Rajendra Padwar No. 136 informed that information was received through an informer that a white coloured truck with number UP 96 T 6738 is illegally carrying buffalo Padwa cruelly loaded in the truck from village Farhada and is taking it to Uttar Pradesh slaughter house via Sarai, Shahdol. After the informer's information was made known to the independent witnesses, for verification and action on the information of the independent witnesses, the accompanying staff and witnesses along with government vehicle and private driver and the private driver of the government vehicle of Sarai left and reached near village Amdari on Padaria Shahdol State Highway and were waiting for the truck mentioned by the informant along with the accompanying staff and witnesses, when after some time a white colour truck was seen coming very fast from Tulra side, which was tried to be stopped with the help of torch light and vehicle and stopper, then the driver of the truck on seeing the police took his truck down from the highway to Amdari road and parked the truck on the road near Charkumar trisection on Amdari road, taking advantage of the darkness, the accused truck driver and the people loading animals, buffalo, Padwa, hid on seeing the police, they were searched with the help of torch but were not found, and when the truck was searched, it was found to have the same number as told by the informer, and on looking inside the truck, The buffaloes were found stuffed cruelly and tied with ropes to the body of the truck. When checked with the witness and accompanying staff, 17 buffaloes and 05 buffaloes were found loaded inside the truck, a total of 22 pieces. There was no arrangement for them to move around, breathe or eat and drink. On the spot, truck number UP 96 T 6738 of Ashok Leyland Company (worth Rs. 15 lakhs) and 22 buffaloes loaded in the truck, buffaloes loaded in the truck, of different colors and shapes, worth Rs. 05 lakhs (total worth Rs. 20 lakhs) were seized. After the driver and owner of vehicle number UP 96 T 6738 are caught, the names of other smugglers who were transporting the buffaloes will be disclosed during investigation. Crime number 171/2024 under sections 6, 6 (a), (b), 9-10 M will be registered against the driver and the owner of the vehicle. As violation of Animal Protection Act-1959 and 11th Animal Cruelty Act-1960 and permit conditions was found, a case under 66/192 M.V. Act was registered and investigation taken up. And as there was no Qazi House, the seized buffalo was handed over to Rajkumar Yadav, resident of Dubsara. A complaint has been sent to veterinary surgeon Benibari for medical examination of the seized buffalo. On return, a case was registered and investigation taken up against the driver and owner of vehicle number UP 96T 6738 as prima facie offence was found. Investigation of the matter is ongoing.
