Shahdol, lightning struck with heavy rain, killing two people. The incident took place in two different places of Jaisinghnagar police station area. Police has registered a case and started investigation in both the cases. Both the bodies were brought to the hospital for post-mortem and after post-mortem, the bodies were handed over to the family members.

According to the information, the first incident took place in Bairiha village of Jaisinghnagar police station area where 28-year-old woman Meena Napit had gone to the forest to cut fodder for the cattle. Then it rained heavily and thunder started in the sky. To avoid the rain, the woman ran from there and stood under a Mahua tree located at a short distance. Then the lightning fell near the Mahua tree, due to which the woman died on the spot. There were other people present in the forest but they were far away from the woman. After the lightning struck, other people present in the forest reached the spot where the woman was lying dead, after which the police was informed. The police reached the spot and took the body in their custody and started the action.

Similarly, the second incident took place in Masiyar village of Jaisinghnagar police station area. The police said that the middle-aged Shobhnath had raised a cow in the pond and he was taking care of it, when lightning struck with heavy rain, the middle-aged man got hit by it and died on the spot. The villagers informed the police about the incident. After getting the information, the police reached the spot and started the investigation by doing the Panchnama proceedings.

Reaction..

Two people have died due to lightning. The police reached the spot and after doing the Panchnama, the post-mortem of both the bodies was done. After the post-mortem, the body has been handed over to the family members. A case has been registered and investigation is being done.
