Saharanpur. Shambhu railway track not opened even after a month due to farmers' agitation. Due to this, Railways has cancelled and diverted 24 trains passing through Saharanpur till May 22. This will not only increase the difficulties of the passengers, but the Railways will also suffer revenue loss. Farmers have been blocking the Shambhu border railway track since April 17. Since then, the operation of trains has been affected. In view of the farmers' agitation, the Railways has extended the cancellation and route diversion of trains till May 22. Haridwar-Amritsar Janta Shatabdi, New Delhi-Jalandhar City Super, Sriganganagar-Haridwar Express, Saharanpur-Nangaldam MEMU Express passing through Saharanpur will not run till May 22. Apart from these, Dhanbad-Firozpur Ganga Sutlej, Saharsa-Amritsar Garib Rath, Indore-Amritsar, Gorakhpur-Amritsar, Kanpur Central-Amritsar, Guwahati-Jammutvi, Gorakhpur-Jammutvi and Yoga Nagari Rishikesh-Jammutvi Express will have a changed route between Sahnewal-Ambala till May 20. Kolkata-Amritsar, Korba-Amritsar Chhattisgarh, Howrah-Amritsar Mail, Patna-Jammutvi Archana, Varanasi-Jammutvi Begumpura, Howrah-Jammutvi Himgiri, Purnia Court-Amritsar Janseva, Jaynagar-Amritsar Saryu Yamuna, Kolkata-Amritsar Durgiana and Subedarganj-Shaheed Captain Tushar Mahajan Express will run till May 21, Jaynagar-Amritsar Shaheed, Tatanagar-Amritsar Jallianwala Bagh Express will also run with a changed route between Sahnewal-Ambala till May 22. Due to the cancellation and diversion of trains from 17 April, the railways is not only facing financial loss, but passengers are also facing a lot of trouble. Many passengers come to know after reaching the railway station that the train is cancelled or will be diverted. Passengers are forced to resort to other means of transport.
