Shajapur, To provide market and fair price to the farmers, entrepreneurs, self-help groups, horticulture products and processed products of the district, a conference of buyers-sellers and exporters was organized under the chairmanship of Collector Riju Bafna in the District Panchayat Sabha Room. During this, the Collector told the producers and FPO officials of the district that to get economic benefits, the products will have to meet the consumers' expectations. For this, the quality of the products will have to be maintained. FPOs should maintain uniformity in the productivity of crops and maintain quality to increase their income. The Collector directed the officials of Horticulture, Agriculture and ATMA to conduct exposure visits to FPOs and producers. During this, State NITI Aayog Advisor Zarin Sadaf Khan said that the state government is going to take many steps to encourage the producers. Producers will have to improve the quality of the products. Also, a solution is being found by NABARD to support the producers. An app is also being developed on which the producers will have to register their products. After this, the state government will assist in providing market to the producers. In the conference, Bharat Bhushan Kharbanda of Lions Impex Navi Mumbai Maharashtra gave detailed information on food processing of horticultural crops, quality and food safety, packaging technology, business process, challenges and solutions, licensing process, grading and sorting of potato-onion, garlic, packaging technology for market, farmer producer organization. Similarly, Ganesh Panwar of Siddhi Vinayak, Agri Processing Pvt. Ltd. Pune gave detailed information about seed production of high quality popular varieties in potato production technology, proper storage and supply chain and best class processing and trade. Chintan Meghvanshi of Access Development Services Delhi gave a lecture on economic development through contract farming and other methods including partnership farming by FPO, SSG and CLF.
