Shahdol, Collector Tarun Bhatnagar has completely banned the excavation of sand from the river in the sand mines operated in Shahdol district from 30 June to 1 October 2024. In the issued order, it has been said that as per the instructions of the Indian Meteorological Department, Nagpur, the period of monsoon session for the rainy season in Madhya Pradesh has been fixed from 15 June to 01 October. Regarding the ban on the excavation of sand (balu) from sand mines from 15 June to 01 October by the Director, Geology and Mining Bhopal, the said prescribed rainy period can be changed on the basis of local weather changes. Monsoon can become active in the district till 30.06.2024. The excavation of sand from the river in the operational sand mines of Shahdol district is valid for the monsoon season from 30 June to 1 October 2024. During the period in question, excavation of sand from the rivers located in Shahdol district is completely banned.
