SECL's District Rehabilitation and Resettlement Committee meeting was held
Collector gave directions to provide employment and compensation to eligible people through camps by running a campaign

Anuppur, District Rehabilitation and Resettlement Committee meeting of South Eastern Coalfield Limited Jamuna Kotma area of Anuppur district was held today at Guest House Bhalumaada under the chairmanship of Collector Mr. Harshal Pancholi. In the meeting, the Collector was apprised of the proceedings of the earlier meeting and information was given regarding the progress of employment and rehabilitation cases.
Sub-Divisional Officer Revenue Kotma Mr. Ajit Tirkey, General Manager SECL Kotma Mr. H.S. Madan, Sub Area Manager Mr. Vipin Kumar, Deputy General Manager Mr. D.K. Raghuvanshi along with other SECL officers and local public representatives were present in the meeting. In the meeting, the collector directed the SECL officials to pay special attention to the pending cases of employment and land acquisition under the Coal India Rehabilitation Policy and Madhya Pradesh Rehabilitation Policy and to provide employment and compensation to the eligible person through a campaign and camp. The collector said that the process of giving compensation to all land owners as per eligibility, except the disputed acquired land, should be started soon. In the meeting, the collector also directed the SECL officials that whatever complaints related to employment are received, they should be resolved on priority basis.
In the meeting, the collector was informed by the SECL officials that employment was approved for 605 people under the CBA Act for the Aamadanr open mine project, out of which 75 people have been provided employment so far and 429 people are left for employment. Similarly, 870 employments have been approved under the land acquired under the LA Act, out of which 668 people have been given employment and employment cases of 202 people are still pending. In which some cases are pending in the court and in some cases due to family disputes, employment could not be provided due to lack of harmony.
In the meeting, the Collector obtained information from the officials about village-wise displacement. On which the officials told that under the Amdand open mine project, out of a total of 655 families of villages Timkitola, Nimha and Kohka, the amount of displacement has been provided to 410 families and the cases of displacement amount of the remaining 245 families are pending, which are pending due to nomination, partition, map amendment and mutual dispute. On which the Collector directed the Sub-Divisional Officer Revenue Kotma to resolve the cases and submit a report to SECL.
In the meeting, the Collector directed the SECL officials to identify the roads on which SECL's heavy vehicles run on MPRDC and PMGSY roads and due to which the road gets damaged, and send the information to the Collector's office and the road should be repaired by making an action plan for road repair work. So that people can get better transportation facilities. In the meeting, the collector also discussed with the local public representatives and discussed the problems and other important points.
In the meeting, Superintendent of Police Mr. Moti Ur Rehman obtained information regarding standard equipment for the security of the officers and employees of SECL management and directed that there should be comprehensive security arrangements in coal mines. Similarly, the Superintendent of Police discussed the security arrangements of coal mines, certified documents of every person working in the colliery, disaster management, fire safety and other various important points and gave necessary guidelines.
