Deoband | Saharanpur, Scorching heat and heat waves have made the mercury cross 40 degrees. The heat has taken a fierce form. The situation is such that due to less difference between the minimum and maximum temperatures, there is no peace during the day and no relief at night. Due to dry heat during the day, the weather has turned red. The effect of the heat has been that today the temperature of the district stopped at 40.2 degrees Celsius. While the minimum temperature was recorded at 25 degrees Celsius. If the weather department is to be believed, the common people are not expected to get any relief from the heat in the coming days. The heat has been at its peak for the last several days. The heat wave during the day has forced people to remain confined in their homes. The number of people coming out on the streets after 10:00 am keeps decreasing as the day progresses. At around 2-3 pm, the streets of the metropolis are deserted. Only people coming out for important work are seen on the streets. Till sunset, the movement of people on the streets is very less. Even the people coming out for work either use umbrellas to protect themselves from the sun or take the help of cold drinks available on the roadside.
