Deoband (Saharanpur). The road connecting Deoband's village Inderpur and Talhedi Khurd has taken the form of a pond since the rains. The situation is such that not only the villagers but hundreds of school children are also forced to go through the pond. Deoband Inderpur road is becoming a victim of government administration's neglect. The situation is such that common people and school children are troubled due to no arrangement for drainage on the said road. The road which has become a pond after the rains is filled with water up to one to two feet. School children are facing a lot of trouble due to the fields and roads being filled with water. There is also a fear of accident due to potholes in the road. While two-wheeler drivers are forced to travel through distant paths due to waterlogging in more than 500 meters distance. Villagers say that there is a fear of infectious diseases due to waterlogging for many days during the rainy season. They have demanded from the government and administration to find a permanent solution to the problem of water drainage.
