Damoh, under the leprosy eradication program, under the direction of CMHO Dr. James Back and under the guidance of District Leprosy Officer Dr. Rita Chatterjee and Civil Surgeon Dr. Rajesh Namdev, a save deformity camp (POD) was organized at the District Hospital Ayush Bing Leprosy Office. The program was first inaugurated by RMO Dr. Vishal Shukla by lighting the lamp and laying a wreath in front of the portrait of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi.

In the camp, 19 patients were examined by Dr. Rajneesh Gangra, three patients were provided with MCR slippers. One patient was referred to Victoria Hospital, Jabalpur. For surgery, a new leprosy patient was identified and treatment was started. Dr. Rajneesh Gangra showed special modern exercises to all the patients to avoid deformity of eyes, hands and legs and explained in detail how the water oil treatment method should be done.

Dr. Vishal Shukla told all the patients about the importance of taking medicines regularly and the water oil treatment method and he distributed tubs and stools to all the patients.
Dr. Priyanka Taran, Dr. Preeti Thakur, GP Ahirwal, KR Pandey were present in the camp, by whom the patients were given special advice on visiting the doctor every month.
