She was attacked with an axe on her head, neck and face. Sunaina's blood-soaked body was found lying in the courtyard of the house. Suspicion of murder is being expressed on the son of the deceased's brother-in-law.

Murder happened before Govardhan Puja:- It is said that preparations for Govardhan Puja were going on at home on Saturday. Cow dung was also collected in the courtyard. But before that Sunaina was murdered in the morning. When the family members reached there after hearing the scream, she was lying on the ground and blood was spread around.
Jestha's son missing, mobile found near the body:- On receiving the information, Kothi police station in-charge Shweta Maurya reached the spot. She also called the cyber team to the spot. When the police started the investigation and inquired about the other members of the house, it was found that the son of the deceased's brother-in-law was missing. His mobile and his slippers were also lying near the crime scene at home but he was missing. The police also came to know that he had a fight with Sunaina over something two-three days ago. It is suspected that he might have committed the crime. However, the police is investigating keeping in mind all other points as well.
