A major public movement against social evils has begun in the Ucher Gram Panchayat of the Sanchi District Panchayat, Raisen. Sarpanch Arvind Singh launched the public awareness campaign, vowing to make the entire village drug-, gambling-, and gambling-free. He clearly warned that drug traffickers in the village will not be spared at any cost and that strict action will be taken against such elements with the support of the administration.

A large number of villagers attended the public awareness program organized in the Gram Panchayat. Sarpanch Arvind Singh said that drug abuse not only harms a person's health but also destroys the economic and social status of the entire family. Addiction to alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs leads to domestic discord, crime, and impacts the future of youth. At the same time, activities like gambling and betting also promote crime and economic loss in society.

He appealed to the villagers, saying that if every citizen of the village pledges to neither consume drugs themselves nor allow anyone else to do so, Ucher can become an ideal drug-free village. He urged the youth to engage in education, sports, employment, and social work, saying that this is the hallmark of a healthy and prosperous society.

Strict warning to drug dealers

Sarpanch Arvind Singh categorically stated that no leniency will be shown against those involved in illegal drug trafficking in the Gram Panchayat area. He said that information about such individuals will be passed on to the administration and police, so that effective action can be taken against those who spoil the village environment. He also appealed to the villagers to immediately report any illegal liquor, drugs, gambling, or betting activities.

Villagers took a collective pledge

The villagers present at the event took a collective pledge to abstain from drugs, oppose gambling and betting, and spread social awareness in the village. Speakers stated that a drug-free society is the foundation of a healthy, educated, and developed village.

Awareness campaigns will continue

Sarpanch Arvind Singh stated that public awareness programs will be held periodically at the village panchayat level. He expressed confidence that with the cooperation of the villagers, the support of the administration, and collective efforts, Ucher will be transformed into a model village free of drugs, gambling, and betting, setting an example for the entire region.
