Patna, Bihar government employees and pensioners will have to wait a little longer for dearness allowance. Dearness allowance is to be paid by adding 3% more amount from July 1 this year. Before that dearness allowance was 50%.

About 10 lakh government employees and 4 lakh pensioners will get the increased allowance as arrears. Let us tell you, this arrears will not be added in the payment of November salary. Arrears will be given in January next year, because it is likely to be given by adding it to the December salary.

DA increased by 3% on November 14

On November 14, the government had decided to give 53% dearness allowance with an increase of 3%. This decision is effective from July 1 this year. It is clear from this that the amount of increase in dearness allowance will be given in the form of arrears. Arrears of 6 months will be created till the December salary.

A separate process will be adopted for approval of increase in dearness allowance for High Court judges and Legislative Assembly employees. However, Dearness Allowance is increased twice a year. First time in January and second time in July. The proposal for increase from the first date of both the months is effective. In case of delay in decision, the outstanding amount is given as arrears.

IT managers, assistants and executives will get benefit

IT managers, IT assistants and executive assistants working in different departments, districts, directorates and different commissions will now also get the benefit of group health insurance. A decision was taken on this in the meeting of the Governing Bodies of Bihar Administrative Reform Mission Society held on Monday. In this regard, the Secretary of the General Administration Department has been authorized to implement the Group Health Insurance Scheme by taking proposals from interested banks. There are 128 IT managers working in different districts, directorates and commissions in Bihar, 910 IT assistants in districts, subdivisions and blocks and 3099 executive assistants. All of them will get the benefit of group health insurance. Bihar Administrative Reform Mission declares the movable and immovable assets of Group A, B and C officers as well as employees on the website.

The services of IT managers and assistants are taken for this work. To ensure the use of IT, the society compensates for the laptops purchased by the officers of Indian Administrative Service and Bihar Administrative Service.

Under the supervision of IT managers and assistants, the Jigyasa helpline and Samadhan helpline are also operated for filing complaints under the Bihar Public Grievance Redressal Act.
