Deoband. Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh Panchayati Raj Rural Safai Karamchari Sangh has sent a memorandum to the Chief Minister opposing the orders of biometric attendance given by the District Magistrate. In which the union has called biometric attendance impossible and demanded to be kept free from it. After the meeting held in the block office premises, the Safai Karamchari Sangh said in the memorandum sent to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath that the order to impose biometric attendance of rural sanitation workers has not been issued from the government level, but despite this, DM Saharanpur has arbitrarily issued an order for biometric attendance. Which is against the government order. Said that the duty of rural sanitation workers is put on Kanwar Yatra, VIP program and election office and other public programs from time to time. Not only this, sanitation workers also go to far-flung areas to do duty, there is no proper arrangement of transport means in the village. In such a situation, biometric attendance is almost impossible. It has been said in the letter that there are school teachers, ANM centres, CHCs in the village and the staff of all these are also educated. But they also do not have biometric attendance. It has been demanded in the memorandum that keeping all the points in mind, rural sanitation workers should be kept free from online attendance.11
