Rumors came out that two ASIs from Venkatnagar were sent to line duty
SP said that no one was sent to line duty
Anuppur. The news of two ASIs Surendra Ahirwar and Arvind Rai posted at Venkatnagar police post being sent to line duty spread across the district. The SP had received a complaint that both the ASIs were demanding Rs. 5000 from a truck loaded with plastic and bottles going from Anuppur to Bilaspur. But in this entire matter, SP Moti Ur Rahman has called it a rumor. According to the information, the SP had given new posting to both the acting assistant sub-inspectors from the police line to Venkatnagar police post on 2 September.
According to information received from sources, on 7 September, Venkatnagar police had received information that Sinku Kabadi was illegally transporting scrap and copper under the cover of plastic and bottles in truck number CG 10 BN 9187 and sending it to Bilaspur. Where on information the said truck was stopped between 7 to 8 am in the presence of Venkatnagar Outpost in-charge Amarpal Yadav. On information labourers were called and the truck was searched. During verification the information in the truck was found to be wrong and the said truck was released after two hours. But someone complained to SP Moti Ur Rahman about both ASIs demanding 5 thousand rupees from the said truck.
But when information was sought from SP Moti Ur Rahman in the entire matter he called this news a rumour and informed that no ASI from Venkatnagar had been called to line duty.
