Chandan Chauhan has been elected to the Lok Sabha for the first time from Bijnor Lok Sabha seat. Currently, he was RLD MLA from Meerapur seat of Muzaffarnagar. Chandan Chauhan thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi for giving Jayant Chaudhary a respectable place in the cabinet. He said that Western Uttar Pradesh is a farmer-dominated area where there is a lot of possibility of BJP and RLD's support base increasing. In this election, BJP could not win Saharanpur, Kairana, Muzaffarnagar, Nagina, Rampur, Moradabad seats. He himself has been elected from Bijnor. He understands his responsibility properly and will take care of all these areas. He said that Jayant Chaudhary will prove to be an efficient administrator. He understands the problems of farmers and villagers very well. The main crops of farmers in western Uttar Pradesh are sugarcane, wheat, basmati rice. There are also large fruit orchards in many areas. Sugarcane price payment is a big problem for farmers. Jayant Chaudhary will work to solve this problem on priority. Note that from the BJP-RLD alliance, two RLD MPs Chandan Chauhan and Rajkumar Sangwan from Baghpat have won. Jayant Chaudhary is a member of the Rajya Sabha. BJP's performance in the Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh has been quite disappointing this time. Out of 80, only 34 BJP candidates have been successful. Three out of six candidates of allied organizations have also lost. In such a situation, both the role and importance of Jayant Chaudhary increase. Jayant Chaudhary's grandfather Chaudhary Charan Singh has been the Prime Minister of the country. Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has honored Chaudhary Charan Singh with Bharat Ratna award posthumously. Jayant Chaudhary's father Chaudhary Ajit Singh has also been a minister at the Center thrice.
