Saharanpur, A meeting of District Environment, Tree Plantation and Ganga Committee was held in the Collectorate Auditorium under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Manish Bansal. In the meeting, District Magistrate Manish Bansal directed that after full inspection of the plants planted during Tree Plantation 2024, ensure that the target given to all the departments has been completed by them. The agency collecting biomedical waste in the district was directed that no garbage should be dumped at various places, strict action will be taken against them in case of negligence, along with this, those agencies were also directed to increase the number of their vehicles. In the ongoing plastic funeral procession program in the district, 95 quintals were collected by the District Panchayat Raj Officer, 35 quintals by the Municipal Corporation and about 60 quintals of plastic were collected by other bodies this month. In the coming time, BSA and DIOS were also asked to be included under this program. DM Manish Bansal directed that plastic should be collected by the departments every month in the district. He instructed the Municipal Corporation to get the benches to be installed in the park constructed. A Shramdaan program should be organized in all schools once a month and the children should also be rewarded. He also instructed the District Panchayat Raj Officer to start the cleaning work of Kailashpur Wetland in the coming time. Under which the wetland will be made completely safe as before. Chief Development Officer Sumit Rajesh Mahajan, Additional District Magistrate Administration Dr. Archana Dwivedi, DFO Shubham Singh, DFO Shweta Sain and other concerned officials were present in the meeting.
