Damoh, Republic Day celebrations (26 January) will be celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm at the Stadium Ground. The flag hoisting program will be held at the scheduled time. All concerned officers should ensure action under the given instructions. Collector Sudhir Kumar Kochar gave instructions to the concerned officers during the review meeting of the preparations for the Republic Day celebrations. CEO District Panchayat Arpit Verma, Additional Collector Meena Masram, Additional Superintendent of Police Sandeep Mishra and other concerned officers were present in the meeting.

Collector Sudhir Kochar said that all office heads will hoist the flag at the scheduled time in their respective offices and will be present at the main event venue along with their subordinate officers and employees. The Executive Engineer Public Works Department will be responsible for the construction of the stage. In this work, the Forest Divisional Officer, Chief Municipal Officer Damoh and RI Police will get the cooperation and the decoration of the stage and the arrangement of pots will be done by the Assistant Director Garden Damoh. Special attention should be paid to the rules of the Flag Code of India related to this arrangement. The arrangement of gypsy vehicle for parade inspection for the chief guest, the work of checking and decoration of the vehicle will be done by the Reserve Inspector. The Excise Officer will arrange for colorful balloons. The parade will be conducted by the Reserve Inspector Police. Special Police Force, Police Force, Home Guard will be included in the parade. The Reserve Inspector Police will determine the place and time of the parade rehearsal for the jawans participating in the parade and will inform the in-charges, so that all those participating in the parade can be present.

Collector Sudhir Kumar Kochar said that the final rehearsal of the parade will be held in the stadium from 09 am on 24 January 2025. N.A.C.C./N.S.S./Scout Guide, Shaurya Dal/Aapda Mitra/Self Help Group/Sankat Ke Saathi/Red Cross etc. of government schools will be included in the parade. Instructions were given to make arrangements for medical and water by the concerned department during the parade practice.

The Collector said that the main program will be held on 26 January 2025. The Food Department will make arrangements for water and energy drinks for all those participating in the parade at the venue. Under the guidance of Sub-Divisional Officer (R.) Damoh, Tehsildar Damoh, Chief Municipal Officer Damoh and Police Department, separate sections should be made for the seating of the family members of freedom fighters, democracy fighters, families of soldiers martyred in the Kargil war, dignitaries, journalists and women invited to the function. The Sub-Divisional Officer (R.) Damoh will have full responsibility for the protocol.

In the program, Tehsildar Damoh/Damayantinagar, Naib Tehsildar, Superintendent Land Records for the family of freedom fighters, family of martyr soldiers and democracy fighters, Assistant Director Public Relations for journalists, Treasury Officer for dignitaries, Assistant Treasury Officer, Assistant Engineer Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan for women and Assistant Professor Govt. K.N.M. College, Assistant Professor Govt. K.N.M. College, Principal Government Maharani Laxmibai Girls School and Secondary Teacher Government Ranidurgavati High School have been assigned responsibilities.

Collector Sudhir Kumar said that the arrangement of loudspeakers as per the requirement will be done by the Chief Municipal Officer at the program venue. The responsibility of proper supply of electricity will be of the Divisional Engineer M.P.V.M.. It will also be the responsibility of generator. Electricity supply should be maintained uninterrupted even during the rehearsal. Checking of all the electrical equipment and electricity connections installed at the program venue will be done by the Municipal Corporation Damoh.

He said that the Chief Municipal Officer, Municipal Council Damoh should compulsorily arrange for adequate sound amplification equipment (mike) for the full dress rehearsal at 08 am on 24 January 2025. Adequate mike arrangements should be ensured for cultural presentations. The arrangement of drinking water at the venue should be made by the Chief Municipal Officer Damoh and Executive Engineer Public Health Mechanical Department Damoh. Four water tankers should be kept at the above mentioned places on the ground. The arrangement of drinking water for the invited citizens should be made by the PHE Department Damoh. A fire brigade should be arranged by the Municipality at the stadium ground. The Chief Medical and Health Officer Damoh should put a doctor, health team and ambulance on duty at the venue.

Exhibition arrangement of tableaux

The collector said that the tableaux should be new and attractive based on departmental schemes and welfare and beneficiary oriented schemes, which should be in line with the policies of the government. Special care should be taken in the construction of tableaux that no one's sentiments are hurt. For this, a committee has been formed, in which the Chief Executive Officer District Panchayat, Women Child Development Officer, Deputy Director Social Justice, District Coordinator Primitive Tribe Welfare Department and District Education Officer will be there.

In the Republic Day celebrations, the District Panchayat, Animal Husbandry Department, Women and Child Development, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Revenue Department, Public Health Mechanical Department, Water Resources Department, Horticulture Department, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department, Health Department, Police Department, Home Guard, Forest Department, Polytechnic College, Food Security Department, Tribal Department etc. will display tableaux at the main event venue and after the program, all the tableaux will be kept on the VIP road in front of Government Utkrishta Higher Secondary School Damoh for the general public to see.

Certificate

The Collector said that certificates should be given to the officers/employees who have done excellent work in the Republic Day celebrations, the decision of which will be taken by a committee headed by the Collector, which will include the Chief Executive Officer District Panchayat, Additional Collector and In-charge Officer Senior Branch Collectorate members.

On the occasion of Republic Day, the shields will be arranged by the Excise Officer. The Excise Officer will hand over all the shields to the District Education Officer Damoh. An ambulance, doctor and medical staff along with adequate quantity of medicines should be arranged at the main event venue.

Exercise demonstration

A group exercise demonstration should be organized by the School Education Department, in which about 1000 students from various schools of the city will participate. Students from class 6th to 12th will participate in the said exercise demonstration.

Cultural program

Maximum 05 cultural programs will be presented in the stadium. The quality level in the presentation should be high level and in accordance with the program instructions. On the occasion of Republic Day, Navodaya Vidyalaya Hata / Kendriya Vidyalaya Damoh / Higher Education / Government / Private Schools will present exercise / cultural programs. The presentations in the function will be of 15-20 minutes duration. All the presentations should be based on the patriotic theme.

The Food Department will arrange tea / biscuits for all the dignitaries participating in the program, in which Nagar Palika Damoh should provide necessary support.

Lighting system

The Collector said that as per the instructions of the government, the responsibility of lighting system in all government buildings on Republic Day will be of the head of the department.

He said that the final inspection of all the arrangements and the ceremony will be done jointly by the Collector and District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police on 24 January 2025 from 9 am.

Parking and traffic arrangements

Arrangements should be made in the PWD office and the Irrigation Department for parking arrangements at the venue.

Bharat Parv
The collector said that on the evening of Republic Day, “Bharat Parv” will be organized in Manas Bhawan from 6 pm. The said program will be organized under the guidance of the nodal officer “Bharat Parv”.
