Ramnagar police station tightened its grip on gamblers
Raid was taken on two different gambling dens

Anuppur, Ramnagar Police Station raided gambling dens in two different places and seized Rs. 6030/- and took action against ten gamblers. On 05.10.24, an informer informed that some people were gambling in the jungle in front of Aamadan coal mine in village. When the informer went to the place mentioned by the informer to verify the information and take action, some people were found gambling in the jungle by betting on the win or loss of money on playing cards. They were surrounded and caught. On asking for their names and addresses, they revealed their names as (1) Ramchandra father Jaipal Kewat resident Gullidan police station Bijuri Anuppur (2) Babulal father late Rudhan Chaudhary resident Sakola police station Bhalumaada Anuppur (3) Shivjanam father Gautam Yadav resident Paradol police station Jhagrakhand Chhattisgarh (4) Omnaresh father Bhaiyalal Cherwa resident Belia police station Sonhat Chhattisgarh. 52 playing cards and Rs. 2370 cash were recovered from them and from the gambling den. /- rupees were found. Which was duly confiscated under the Gambling Act and action was taken against the gamblers.
Similarly, information was received from an informer that some persons are gambling near the house of Satyanarayan Yadav, CHP Road Rajnagar. To verify the information and take action, a gambling raid was conducted at the place mentioned by the informer where some persons were found gambling in bushes in front of Satyanarayan Yadav's house, by betting on win or loss on playing cards. They were surrounded and caught. On being asked the names and addresses of the gamblers, they gave their names as (1) Rajaram son of Matru Sonkar (2) Raju Gupta son of late Shyam Narayan Gupta (3) Naushad Ali son of Naimuddin Khan (4) Purushottam son of Dhanraj Jogi, all residents of CHP Road Rajnagar Police Station Ramnagar, Anuppur (5) Santosh alias Dara Shah son of late. Bhagwan Shah resident CRO Dafaai Rajnagar Police Station Ramnagar (6) Surendra father Ramkishan Gupta resident near Church Rajnagar Police Station Ramnagar Anuppur from whose possession and gambling den 52 cards and cash of Rs. 3660/- were duly seized under Gambling Act and action was taken against the gamblers.
Thus, on 05.10.24, based on informer's information, gambling raids were conducted in two different places and action was taken against ten gamblers under Gambling Act and playing cards and total cash of Rs. 6030/- were seized.
In the said action, under the able leadership of Police Station Incharge Ramnagar Inspector Amar Verma, Prar. Sanat Dwivedi, Prar. Harish Dehariya, Prar. Amit Patel, Prar. Niranjan Khalkhon, R. Manoj Upadhyay, R. Rahul Prajapati played a major role.
