Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has requested the CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) to investigate the case of Indore couple Raja Raghuvanshi and his wife Sonam Raghuvanshi, who went to Meghalaya for honeymoon. Regarding this demand, he spoke to Union Home Minister Amit Shah and the Chief Minister of Meghalaya on Saturday and requested to hand over the investigation of the case to the CBI. Last month, a few days after the wedding, the couple went to Meghalaya for honeymoon, but went missing the very next day after going there. After this, during the search operation launched, after 12 days, Raja's body was found in a ditch, but his wife has not been found till now. After which his worried family is also continuously demanding a CBI inquiry in this matter.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav posted on social media about this and said, 'In this hour of crisis, Madhya Pradesh stands with the family of Mrs. Sonam Raghuvanshi. I have discussed this matter with the Chief Minister of Meghalaya. Senior police officers of Madhya Pradesh are in constant touch with the officials of Meghalaya. I have requested the Honorable Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah ji to order a CBI inquiry in this case. Every possible effort is being made for the safe return of Mrs. Sonam Raghuvanshi.'

On the other hand, Madhya Pradesh Congress President Jitu Patwari also reached Raja Raghuvanshi's house in Indore on Saturday and met his family members and consoled them. After this meeting, Patwari also demanded a CBI inquiry into this matter from the government. Patwari said in the context of the meeting that the unbearable pain that the Raghuvanshi family of Indore is going through, its mere imagination can disturb anyone. As tragic as the death of Raja Raghuvanshi is, it is equally painful that his wife Sonam is still missing. He demanded from the government that a CBI inquiry should be initiated into this sensational case of murder and kidnapping.

Married on 11 May, missing since 23 May
Let us tell you that Raja Raghuvanshi, a young businessman from Indore, got married to Sonam Raghuvanshi on 11 May. After which the newlywed couple went to Meghalaya to celebrate their honeymoon. But from 23 May their mobile started showing switched off and then nothing was known. After which the worried family reached Meghalaya to get information about them and started searching for both of them with the police.
