Four accused arrested for determining sex of fetus

Saharanpur, Dehat Kotwali police of Saharanpur district, along with the health department team, raided a house in village Balpur and arrested four accused who were testing the sex of the fetus. The Health Department has filed a report against the accused. Five phones, scanner, a box of gel used in ultrasound, a car and Rs 78 thousand have been recovered from them. SP City Abhimanyu Manglik said that Dehat Kotwali police received information that fetal gender test was being done in the womb of pregnant women in a house. Police along with the Health Department team raided the spot and arrested four accused. Deputy CMO Kunal Jain was included in the team from the Health Department. The teams have arrested Manoj son of Ratan Singh resident of Hallu Majra police station Bhagwanpur district Haridwar Uttarakhand, Ravi Saini son of Bharat Saini resident of Wazirpur Kotwali Gangoh, Jagannath son of Kamal Singh resident of Khersal Kotwali Gangoh, Anangpal resident of Tatarpur Kalan. During interrogation, the accused told that they had been doing tests through ultrasound illegally for a long time. The police have arrested four accused who were involved in determining the sex of the fetus in a planned manner. The police had sent a woman to get the investigation done. Soon after this the police raided. It is being told that the accused used to check the fetal gender of pregnant women of Haryana, Saharanpur, Uttarakhand. For this the accused had also released agents.
