The Congress Working Committee meeting organized by the Congress Party in Belgaum, Karnataka on the 100th anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi taking over as Congress President has been named Nav Satyagraha meeting. According to the same sources, speaking at the Congress Working Committee meeting, Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi raised questions on the results of the Maharashtra Assembly elections and called the role of the Election Commission suspicious. He said, 'There has been a big change in the voter list. 72 lakh voters were added after the 2024 Lok Sabha elections on 118 seats in Maharashtra, out of which BJP won 102. It is clear from this that something is wrong somewhere.'

At the same time, in her message through a letter in this meeting, former Congress President Sonia Gandhi alleged that Mahatma Gandhi's legacy is in danger from the people sitting in power in the country. He also called for reaffirming their resolve to counter these forces.

During this meeting, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge said that the Congress has the strength of ideology, the legacy of Gandhi-Nehru and the legacy of great heroes. He said, 'We will return from Belgaum with a new message and a new resolve. That is why we have named this meeting 'Nav Satyagraha', because today even people sitting on constitutional posts are questioning Mahatma Gandhi's Satyagraha.'
Congress will do organizational reforms on a large scale - Venugopal
The Congress on Thursday announced a 13-month long political campaign, including padyatras, to raise issues like attack on the Constitution and inflation, corruption. The party also demanded major changes in the organization based on accountability and capability, which will start immediately and continue till next year. Giving information after this meeting, Congress MP KC Venugopal said that Congress will launch a political campaign 'Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhaan' raising issues related to the people from December 2024 to January 2026. 2025 will be the year of organizational reform of Congress at every level. We will do large-scale organizational reforms which will start immediately.
