Kurukshetra: Questions about the working style of administrative officials appear to be growing more serious. Both the public and journalists are upset with the officials' tendency to "not pick up the phone" and avoid accountability. People allege that officials neither answer calls nor respond to WhatsApp messages and SMS, leaving public problems pending.

Kapil Sharma, President of the Press Welfare Trust of India and senior journalist with Punjab Kesari, took a strong stance on this issue, stating that officials' refusal to respond to press questions is unconstitutional and irresponsible. He said that journalists are the voice of the people, and ignoring their questions is tantamount to ignoring the problems of the common people.

He stated that a meeting with the Chief Minister will soon be held regarding this serious issue, in which the issue of officials' working style and their accountability will be raised prominently. He expressed hope that the government will take concrete steps in this matter and issue instructions to hold officials accountable to the public and the media.
