Tollywood actor Allu Arjun has been arrested by Hyderabad Police in connection with the death of a woman during a stampede at Sandhya Theater in Hyderabad. The incident took place on December 4 during the premiere of his film Pushpa 2. According to local media reports, he has been taken to Chikkadpally Police Station.

A video of the arrest of the Pushpa-2 actor is going viral on social media, in which a team of police officers from Chikkadpally Police Station in Hyderabad came to Allu Arjun's residence in Jubilee Hills and took him into custody. Police said that he was taken to the police station where he will be questioned. Police said that the deceased was identified as Revathi. She was accompanied by her son Sri Teja, who also suffered suffocation injuries and is undergoing treatment in the hospital, where his condition is improving.

'There was no prior information about the premiere'
The police had registered a case against the Sandhya theatre management, the actor and his security team. Officials had said that the police had no prior information that the film's team would come for the premiere. Allu Arjun was detained by a team from Chikkadpally police station on Friday, where a case was registered against him.

While registering the FIR, Hyderabad Police Central Zone Deputy Commissioner of Police Akshansh Yadav had said, 'Based on the complaint of the family members of the deceased, a case has been registered at Chikkadpally police station under BNS sections 105 (punishment for culpable homicide not amounting to murder) and 118 (1) r/w 3 (5) (voluntarily causing hurt or grievous hurt). It is being investigated. Strict action will be taken as per law against all those responsible for the chaotic situation inside the theatre.
