Shivhar, The complaint related to the repair of various faulty tube wells of Shivhar was executed in the District Public Grievance Redressal.

Under the Bihar Public Grievance Redressal Act 2015, RTI activist Mukund Prakash Mishra filed a complaint regarding getting many government tube wells installed in Shivhar district started, which are in a closed state.

In light of the above, a notice was issued to the Executive Engineer, Minor Irrigation Division, Shivhar by letter number- 40311-19749 dated- 14 May 2024. This complaint was heard on different dates. On 20 June 2024, the complainant and the representative of Executive Engineer, Minor Irrigation Division, Shivhar, Prabhat Sharma, Chief Clerk, appeared.

Executive Engineer, Minor Irrigation Division, Shivhar has reported by his letter no. 382 dated 08 June 2024 that 1. Total number of tube wells under Minor Irrigation Division, Shivhar is 69, 2. Total number of working tube wells under Minor Irrigation Division, Shivhar is 36, 13. Total number of closed tube wells under Minor Irrigation Division, Shivhar is 33.

In which the number of tube wells closed due to mechanical fault is 20. As per departmental instructions, the amount has been transferred to the said 20 tube wells to start the Gram Panchayat. The amount has been transferred to the Gram Panchayat to start 09 tube wells closed due to joint fault.
02 tube wells are closed due to other faults. It is closed, an estimate has been prepared to start the Sonvarsha tube well, on which technical approval has been received, allocation has been sought, it will be started as soon as the allocation is received.
The motor has burnt on Benipur tube well and the command area has ended, there is a settlement around the tube well. 02 tube wells are closed due to electrical fault, the five pole wire and transformer of Mohari government tube well is missing, the transformer of Pachara government tube well has burnt. The electricity department has been requested to restore electricity. The tube well will be started as soon as the electricity is restored.
All the government tube wells under the Minor Irrigation Division Shivhar have been transferred to the concerned Gram Panchayat Mukhiya by the office as per the direction of the Principal Secretary, Minor Water Resources Department, Patna. The maintenance and operation of all tube wells is done by the honorable Mukhiyas.
Technical assistance is provided to the concerned Panchayat by the Minor Water Resources Department. The said report was reviewed and the complainant was informed about the report. The public authority is taking necessary action to operate the closed tube wells mentioned in the complaint. Therefore, in the light of the report of the public authority, the suit has been accepted and executed.
