Saharanpur, Divisional level review meeting of Apprenticeship Training Scheme was held under the chairmanship of Divisional Commissioner Dr. Hrishikesh Bhaskar Yashod in his office auditorium. It was informed in the meeting that a total of 462 establishments are registered on the apprenticeship portal in Saharanpur division, 265 in Saharanpur district, 155 in Muzaffarnagar district and 42 in Shamli district. Out of which 113 establishments are employing apprenticeship. In which a total of 629 apprenticeship trainees are receiving training.

Divisional Commissioner gave instructions to all the District Deputy Commissioners of Industries that the remaining 349 establishments should be made functional within the next 15 days and by getting seats allotted in them, training of apprenticeship trainees should be started. He also directed that proper counseling should be done for ITI pass candidates and poor candidates should be given preference in placing them in apprenticeship.
Joint Director (Trainee/Apprentice) Ashish Dubey, Joint Commissioner Industries Mrs. Anju Rani, Deputy Commissioner Industries, Labor Commissioner and Nodal Principals of RITI of all three districts were present in the meeting.
