Saharanpur. Under the chairmanship of Sapna Kashyap, Member, Uttar Pradesh State Women's Commission, a review meeting, women's public hearing, and women's chaupal were held in the Circuit House auditorium to maximize the benefits of various welfare schemes related to women, prevent harassment, and provide speedy justice to women, and to facilitate applicants. During the meeting, Sapna Kashyap reviewed the schemes run by the Women's Welfare Department, Social Welfare Department, and Education Department. Member Sapna Kashyap conducted a public hearing to prevent harassment and provide speedy justice to victimized women. She provided information about the rights of women and girls, listened to their problems, and resolved them. She heard 15 cases. Of these, eight cases were related to domestic violence (Women's Police Station), one case to the Panchayati Raj Department, one case to the Social Welfare (Old Age Pension) Department, one case to the Revenue Department, and four cases to the Police Department. Mrs. Sapna Kashyap directed the prompt disposal of all cases and instructed the concerned officials and police officers to follow up on the cases and inform her of the disposal report. District Probation Officer Durgesh Pratap Singh provided detailed information to the women about various welfare schemes run by the Uttar Pradesh government, including pensions for destitute women, old age pensions, benefits to girls covered under the Kanya Sumangala Yojana, the Uttar Pradesh Child Welfare Scheme in the district under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Yojana, and the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, 2005, sexual harassment of women at the workplace, dowry harassment, female foeticide, and human trafficking. Mrs. Sapna Kashyap inspected Shakti Sadan, Chandra Nagar, Saharanpur, run by the Women's Welfare Department. In which all the arrangements were found to be fine and the institution superintendent was directed to publicise Shakti Sadan so that maximum number of suffering and needy women can get the benefit. During this, Circle Officer Gangoh Ms Priya Yadav, District Probation Officer Durgesh Pratap Singh, District Malaria Officer Mrs Shivanka Gaud, Supply Inspector Ms Mohini Mishra, CTAO Municipal Corporation Mrs Sangeeta Gupta, Block Education Officer Suresh Tyagi, District Social Welfare Officer Jitendra Kumar, Head of Divyangjan Empowerment Department Mrs Akshama, Mrs Chanchal Lahari from Secondary Education Department, Incharge Women Police Station Mrs Kusum Bhati, Incharge Family Counselling Centre Mrs Babita Tomar etc were present.
